	The Blanchard Valley Academy of Massage Therapy (BVAMT) is an institution of higher education in the art of Massotherapy. The Academy serves men and women by providing continuing opportunities for intellectual discovery, accentuating both liberal learning and integrated professional education. Through Blanchard Valley Academy, you can achieve a degree in Massotherapy. Two Programs are available: Blanchard Valley Academy of Massage Therapy One year course, 1 day a week. The courses of instruction at Blanchard Valley Academy of Massage Therapy are offered quarterly based on enrollment availability. Classes include Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofacial release, sports massage, pregnancy and infant massage, health and nutrition,shiatsu, reflexology, anatomy, physiology and business practices as well as hands-on-training. The instructors are professionally active, well trained and highly credentialed as well as patient, caring and supportive. Their classes prepare students for the state licensing exam. Each course is approximately 750 hours and takes one year to complete. Massage sessions are open to the public, and the instructors supervise all hands-on therapy performed by the students. University of Findlay: A one plus one Associate degree in Massage Therapy in conjunction with University of Findlay. Students who transfer from BVAMT with a certificate in Massage Therapy will need to complete General Education and Competency requirements (23 semester hours) plus nine additional semester hours ie. In business, psychology and religion for the AA degree. Students who have completed the general education, competency, and 9 semester hour requirements at UF could enroll at BVAMT and after obtaining a certificate in Massage Therapy will receive an AA degree from UF. Any UF student may elect to pursue a certificate in Massage Therapy either in addition or as a part of their major. Financial Assistance Available.
